STORIES

Roopa Nagenahalli
MA, Azim Premji University
When I joined Nalanda in July 2017, I didn’t know how to write even a single paragraph in English. My whole education was in Kannada medium. Being a school drop-out, I got the first real chance to do proper study at Nalanda.
Chetan Kant
MA, TISS Mumbai
Nalanda is an experience I will never forget. I am from a village in Odisha. My parents died when I was young. I could join Nalanda only because it taught students free of cost and provided stipends to cover food and accommodation.
Raviraj Gajbhiye
MS, University of Alberta, Canada
Even the thought of studying in a foreign country had never crossed my head before joining Nalanda. It is the only place I derive my inspiration, motivation, confidence from. For me it was never just a learning center. It helped me to grow as a social being too.
Karuna Patel
LLM, Central University of Punjab
When I joined Nalanda, I met students from different states. I was amazed at students coming to a small town in Maharashtra from so far. After spending some time, I understood the reason. Nalanda is like a family that believes in equality and equal access to education.
